Abby joins Julie Baker’s lab at Stanford

Former standout Williams lab undergrad Abby Bergman has realized her life-long dream of studying placental biology by joining Julie Baker’s lab. Abby will be studying the role of endogenous retroviruses in signaling at the placenta maternal-fetal interface. Abby’s time in the Williams lab featured two publications, and numerous awards, including becoming the second Williams lab member to win the coveted Brantley award for Excellence in Research in Molecular, Cell and Developmental Biology (Jeet Patel won in 2017).
